KUALA LUMPUR: The government has decided to impose provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 6.33% to 37.44% on imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) originating or exported from China and Indonesia, says the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti).

It said the move is necessary to prevent injury to the domestic industry following the completion of the preliminary determination of the anti-dumping duty investigation as provided under section 23 of the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act 1993.
